PT Phiz

 I've just added permissions so that my brother can edit both of the two PT Phiz blogs.  Hopefully he'll introduce himself sometime soon.

I am making major changes to the layout of this blog so please bear with me and come back in a couple of weeks if the temporary layout drives you nuts!

The intention is to syndicate the main gallery on this blog so that it combines the news feed and the latest images from the gallery.  That's quite complex and will take me sometime to get the format sorted out.  In order to view older posts of images from the gallery, or leave comments, you'll need to jump over to the Wordpress site but that will happen automatically for you.  This way you get the advantage of being able to see everything which is new on one page.  When it's done, I hope you like it!

I think Dad's thesis on Textile Design (Structure of Pattern, 1956) is now at the National Art Education Archive in Wakefield. If I find out any more, I'll add a new section on the main site.

I do also need to get some more pictures posted soon as well.

I've added a new top level page on fishing and added a sub-page for the stretch of the Lune at Caton which Terry fished and which we painted so often. Any photos of pools or fishing on this stretch of the Lune would be appreciated.

I've added a new category for Caton so that paintings of Caton can be found easily: as Terry lived there for nearly 40 years there are several. I've gone back and re-classified Lune paintings as Caton (as well as Lune) where they show the reaches of the Lune near Caton. To avoid ambiguity of this, I've opted to use the stretches of the Lune which the Lancaster and District Angling Association (LDAA) refer to as the Caton beat since that is the stretch that Terry fished (and of which I remain a member).

As the number of categories are increasing, I've also moved Caton as a sub-category of Lancaster and set Lancaster, Lune etc as sub-categories as Landscape.

Just to say that I am back to updating the site again. The photos I have avaialable imediately could do with some processing but that will have to wait. I'll be adding several pictures over the next few weeks.

Just to say I now have some snaps and am back on line (I got stuck in Bangkok when Suvarnabhumi international airport was blockaded by PAD) and hope to get more pictures onto the site in the next few days.
